New Service - After School Care 2017

Wagaman Primary School is partnering with Camp Australia to provide a tailored after school care service for Wagaman Primary kids. 

Camp Australia commence service at Wagaman Primary School on Monday, 30th January 2017

Canberra Classroom 2017

20th - 25th August 2017, Week 5 of Term 3

Year 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to visit our Australian Capital Territory and explore a range of experiences including our history, politics, the snow and the zoo.

Explicit teaching of reading

"Go Home Cheeky Animals"

Wagaman indigenous students helped to launch a childrens book "Go Home Cheeky Animals" at the Garmalang festival on Saturday 21st May, Darwin Entertainment Center. Charli King narrated the story whilst the chidren performed.

Timor Leste Sister School Project

Mrs McLean’s Year 4 hosted the Timorese vice Minister of Education and her party of officials to a video link up with Maubara.

ANZAC Day Commemoration 2016

Major Tracy Maglasang was our guest presenter at the 2016 ANZAC Day commemorative ceremony.

 

Wagaman School End of Year Celebrations

As 2015 draws to a close, Wagaman School celebrated with award ceremonies, concerts, and graduation parties.

It is always satisfying to see the growth in student learning and social development as the year progresses.

A special farewell to the 37 Year 6 students who are transitioning into Middle School in 2016.

One of the biggest award announcements was Gracie AhMat receiving the Deadly Attender award. Gracie achieved 100% attendance for four consecutive years!

Wagaman School launches sister school relationship in Timor Leste

Wagaman School launched a sister school relationship with Maubara School in Timor Leste this week.

East Timor is our nearest neighbour (1hour 10 minutes airflight) and as an Asian nation has much to offer us in intercultural studies.

Timor Leste is a developing nation and our NT Department of Education has aided their education opportunities with the provision of access to technology.
